CISPES is proud to say that we have been in the struggle for 40 years! Since 1980, we have fought alongside the Salvadoran popular movement in their quest for justice and economic equality, and we have taken action to challenge U.S. intervention in El Salvador.
These are difficult times for the people of El Salvador, and as we commemorate 40 years of solidarity, we reaffirm our commitment to their ongoing struggle hasta la victoria!
This October 23, we invite you to join CISPES organizers as we reflect on 40 years of solidarity! We will be joined by CISPES’ founding Executive Director, Angela Sambrano, who will be moderating a conversation with special guests from three organizations leading the Salvadoran popular movement. Hear directly from SITRASACOSI (Garment Workers Union), Colectivo Nacional de Diversidad Sexual FMLN (National Collective for Sexual Diversity FMLN), and Kolectivo San Jacinto about why our solidarity is as important now as it was in 1980. You won't want to miss out!
Stick around after the panel discussion for an open Q/A session with the Salvadoran leaders and Angela Sanbrano. Register today!
This will be a virtual event via Zoom on October 23 at 5pm PT/8pm ET. Link will be sent upon registration.
We also invite you to make a generous donation to ensure we strengthen our solidarity for decades to come. Half of what we raise for this event will be sent to allies in El Salvador via our Strategic Organizing Fund!
